Mr Patrick Mutimba is currently the Director of the Financial Sector Management Programme MEFMI.

He has previously worked with the Central Bank of Uganda, Stanlib (formerly Stanbic Investment Management Services -EA), Pine bridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments), Barclays, Makerere University, among others. He was involved in a variety of consulting initiatives in Eastern Africa with institutions as varied as the IMF, Government Ministries, Parliaments and NGOs.

In 2013 he was awarded the Pearl of Africa Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions towards building sustainable indigenous institutions.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and FAIA designations. He also holds an MBA from the Irish Business School and other related designations including the ACI Treasury dealing.
