MEFMI, through its Business Development Unit, conducted an Executive Leadership Development Workshop from 11 to 15 May 2026 in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
The programme was designed to strengthen the capacity of senior leaders to navigate complex organisational challenges, improve strategic decision-making and lead effectively in increasingly dynamic operating environments. It also provided participants with opportunities to strengthen self-awareness and their ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
The workshop explored a range of leadership areas, including personal mastery, leadership identity, self-awareness, strategic decision-making and problem-solving, communication and influence, psychological safety, ethical leadership and leading through disruption and change.
A total of 44 participants from institutions within and outside the MEFMI region attended the programme.
The workshop strengthened participants’ leadership knowledge and practical skills, enhancing their capacity to provide strategic direction, lead organisational change and develop future leaders within their institutions.
