MEFMI will conduct a third follow up mission to the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) from 14 to 18 March 2016. The objectives of this mission are to provide technical assistance to the Bank, on analysis and interpretation of data and report writing. The report is expected to be presented to BNR Board of Governors for consideration and approval.
The MEFMI mission team members are Mr. Alphious Ncube (MEFMI Consultant) and Mr. Sayed Timuno (Programme Manager, Macroeconomic Management Programme).
The first mission was carried out from 9 to 13 November 2015. This mission focused on developing the right methodology to assess skills that exist in BNR to avoid deploying subjective evaluation or audit. The mission team comprised of Mr. Alphious Ncube (MEFMI Consultant), Mr. Raphael Otieno (MEFMI Director, Debt Management Programme), Mr, Amos Cheptoo (MEFMI Programme Manager, Macroeconomic Management Programme) and Ms Gertrude Mungolo (MEFMI Human Resources Manager). The mission generated templates for the skills audit exercise.
The second mission was conducted from 22 to 26 February 2016. It focused on reviewing and approving standardized forms at a functional level, to allow for comparative bank-wide analysis as earlier envisaged. The mission team was made up of Mr. Alphious Ncube (MEFMI Consultant) and Mr, Amos Cheptoo (Programme Manager, Macroeconomic Management Programme).
