Mr. Abraham Kataza joined MEFMI as the Finance Manager in April 2024. Mr. Kataza is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience in financial operations, internal controls, compliance, and strategic management.
Mr. Kataza is a certified public accountant with a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Dar Es Salaam, both in Tanzania. His career spans key positions at renowned institutions, where he has demonstrated expertise in tax management, budgeting, financial analysis, and the implementation of efficient accounting information management systems.
Prior to joining MEFMI, he held key positions at leading institutions, including Chief Finance Officer at Selcom Paytech Limited, a leading Fintech in Tanzania, where he oversaw different projects and led the development and implementation of internal controls and reporting mechanisms, significantly enhancing financial efficiency. He also served as Head of Finance at Frostan Limited, Financial Controller at EA Jobs Co. Ltd, Senior Accountant at TNR Limited, Management Accountant at A1 Outdoor (T) Limited, Credit Officer at National Bank of Commerce Ltd, and Accountant at MGen Tanzania Insurance Co. Ltd, all based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Throughout his career, he has developed a strong track record of success, with a proven ability to lead finance operations, drive financial efficiency, and implement effective internal controls.
