Dr. Casius Chuma is the Programme Manager responsible for Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. He is a seasoned monitoring and evaluation expert with over 18 years of experience in the field. His experience covers strategic and operational planning, project management, monitoring, and evaluation. Having previously worked with regional economic bodies such as SADC and COMESA, he also has significant experience in regional integration.
Dr. Chuma’s educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Business & Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Strategy from the University of Zambia. He also holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation from Stellenbosch University (RSA), a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of the Free State (RSA), and a B.Sc. Degree in Natural Resources from the University of Zambia. Additionally, Dr. Chuma also holds a postgraduate diploma in Humanitarian Assistance from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK), a Post Graduate Certificate in Managing for Impact in Development from the University of the Free State (RSA), and various certificates in trade policy analysis and international trade law and development.
He has received specialized training in monitoring and evaluation of international development programs from the University of Bologna (Italy). Dr. Chuma is a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation (SAMEA) and the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA), and he is also a published author with a particular focus on sustainable business management.
