Employee Wellness and Stress Management

Background

Employers need to have knowledge and tools to promote a healthy work environment and effectively manage stress among employees. The importance of employee well-being, strategies to enhance physical and mental health, techniques to manage stress, and the role of leadership in fostering a supportive workplace culture cannot be over-emphasized.

Course Objectives

This course is intended to aid participants to:

  1. Understand the concept and significance of employee wellness in the workplace;
  2. Identify common stressors and their impact on employee well-being and performance;
  3. Develop strategies to promote physical health and well-being among employees;
  4. Implement techniques for managing stress and enhancing resilience;
  5. Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that prioritizes employee wellness;
  6. Design and implement employee wellness programs and initiatives;
  7. Provide effective support and resources for employees’ mental health; and
  8. Develop skills in stress management and self-care.

The course will cover the following areas:

  1. Identifying Stressors in the Workplace;
  2. Promoting Physical Health and Well-being;
  3. Stress Management Techniques;
  4. Building a Supportive Work Environment;
  5. Designing and Implementing Employee Wellness Programmes;
  6. Mental Health and Emotional Well-being Support; and
  7. Personal Stress Management and Self-care.
