Glory Kasasi is the Programme Manager for Financial Institutions Regulation and Supervision, under Financial Sector Management Programme. She joined the Institute on 5
February 2024. She is responsible for the design, development and coordination of capacity-building activities with a focus on the regulation and supervision of banks and non–bank financial institutions including insurance, capital markets, pensions, forex bureaus, and microfinance institutions in the MEFMI member states.
Ms Kasasi is a seasoned financial supervisor with over 12 years of experience in insurance and pension supervision and regulation. She has a great knowledge of digital financial
inclusion and supervisory technologies and has a keen interest in emerging supervisory issues.
She previously worked as the Principal Examiner, ICT – Pension and Insurance Supervision, for the Reserve Bank of Malawi. Glory has also held several other roles at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, including Senior Examiner of Policy and Regulation – Pension, Senior Examiner of Data Management and Research, and Senior Examiner of Policy and Regulation – Insurance.
Ms Kasasi holds a Master of Science in Data Science from the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Malawi, Zomba Malawi,
among others. She is also a MEFMI Certified Fellow and holds a Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) – ISACA.
