The MEFMI Heads of Debt Management Forum is an annual event organised by MEFMI as part of its efforts ensure that the heads of debt management departments in client institutions are abreast with topical, pertinent and emerging developments on public debt management front. This Forum is also critical in fostering adoption frameworks, tools and policy which will support sound debt management practices in MEFMI member countries. The Heads of Debt Management Forum also offers an opportunity for officials to discuss and exchange views on public debt management challenges and the innovative ways to navigate the dynamic landscape.

• To create awareness on topical issues, developments, and opportunities that are key enablers for the attainment of sound practices in sovereign debt management.

• Create a platform for sharing countries’ experiences amongst heads of debt management offices in the MEFMI region.
